TalkSpread Message Board System is a powerful internet and intranet based tool for robust communication among people with common interests, sharing ideas, discussing problems, and negotiating solutions whether they are professional, general, or social. TalkSpread can be used to provide online customer service or technical support. Forums can be set up for specific product questions, features and services. Customers can post topics and questions themselves too. Other participants can answers or comment from their own experience, while the respective staff member can provide the official answer.
TalkSpread Administrators' can setup unlimited separate boards and unlimited users with only one copy of TalkSpread running. Our development teams can customize the look and feel of each message board to completely fit customers' requirements. The simple yet very powerful administrative module of the TalkSpread allows complete board and messages management.
TalkSpread includes a search feature for finding specific text in message topics and message bodies. Full-text searches make finding specific information even faster.
2. Can specific conferences be moderated?
Yes, each and/or all conferences/boards can be moderated by one or more administrators. That depends on the user access and administrative rights.
3. Would I be the administrator since I own the program?
You can set anyone to be the administrator to the whole system. You can also set different people to be the moderators/administrators for any particular forum within the TalkSpread
4. Can I delete any messages?
Yes, each message can be edited, deleted or moved to another board/conference.
5. Do you provide support? If yes, what support do you have for the TalkSpread customers?
We do support all the TalkSpread purchases for free during the setup and the initial use of the system for 1 month - this is applied to all the customers that are not hosted with us. Our support rates after that are at $20/hour and any additional development work on our products is at $31/hour. All the clients that choose ConsultCommerce to host their message boards have 24/7 free customer support as a part of the message board hosting plan.
6. Can I download a trial version?
No, you can not download a trial version. We have set several demo forums and board for you at www.talkspread.com and www.loanamortizer.com with admin access rights so anyone can test the program thoroughly.
7. Can I have separate Board Lists with
one license? I maintain around 30 different groups of members from our
site and I would want each of them to have their own message board list.
Is that possible?
One copy of TalkSpread can accommodate a large number of forums, each forum containing very large number of message boards inside itself. If set on a site each user will be able to see and attend all the forums and boards. If you want to set separate boards with separate URLs thus creating a message forum system "invisible" or just for a certain group of users you will need more copies of the TalkSpread Message Board System.
8. How do I know what reply is for my message? What are the indents for?
Each reply has posts and the posts column shows how many replies there are after the topic or subtopic was posted and the same with the indents - the replies for one message are on one vertical line while the replies for replies are indented

the initial message in the thread - it is there based on the time and
posts but it is one indent because it is not a part of the upper reply/reply
scheme - it has been posted on another position discussing the initial
post - not discussing other replies and the numbers are:
4 - there are 4 messages posted on that initial thread/topic
3 - there are 3 altogether posts for that message - two major and one
sub topic
1 - there is only one reply to this subtopic
9. Can the administrator assign a conference to be moderated?
Yes, the administrator can moderate the conferences(forums, boards) even if there is another person assigned to do that with less access rights or can assign a forum to be moderated by a specific person limiting the access right to the specific forum.
10. Can the administrator delete old or unwanted postings?
Yes, the administrator has those capabilities - each message can be edited, deleted or moved to another board/conference.
11. Can the administrator assign others to help administrate the Message Board. Can there be different administrators for different conferences?
Yes, Many people can be assigned to be moderators of the different forums/boards.
12. Does the program have any help features or an online manual?
We are now building an online help available for all the users and administrators that will serve as a manual too. TalkSpread will be upgradeable for free so all the customers that already have the system will be upgraded to the program with the Help function for free.
13. Can the Administrator make design changes or does that go thru your staff?
The system can be implemented into any website that has the needed technical parameters with the "look and feel" of its host. This is done by ConsultCommerce. The administrators can create forums and boards and write different texts for each forum or board of course.
